update on .net today nothing fancy - just getting the other reveals ready to go

I've decided that I won't listen to Burn Burn on its streaming time.

That means I'll get it three days after its release... damn you, badly placed camp!

it will be awsome when you get the cd either way im sure this listening party wont be cd quality and also really looking forward to having all the artwork and lyrics and also time bomb and yes even looking forward to studio version of the right stuff

Has it really been more than four years since the last OLP album? Yeah, it has. We can blame Raine Maida, too.

With his new home studio in LA, the band is no longer under any kind of time constraints. They were free to record Burn Burn at a leisurely, contemplative pace. Everyone would fly in, work on some tracks and then scatter for a few months. Then, with fresh ears, they’d reconvene back at Raine’s place and continue to work.

The result is a lean’n’mean ten-track album that finishes up in a smidgen over 38 minutes—a welcome bit of restraint in an era where some bands think that a great album has to be 71 minutes long.<a href="http://www.exploremusic.com/exclusives/2009-07-13/our-lady-peace-and-burn-burn-track-by-track" target="_blank"><B>Read More</b></a>

I generally don't like 71 minute albums. But then, who is making 71 minute albums? Unless you're an instrumental post-rock band, chances are you are not. 45 has always been the way to go to me, and anything less than 35 can teeter on being too slim unless we're talking about an EP.
