And I agree with the charcoal... we had this stuff called Carbochief that worked really well and was basically just little pills of charcoal, but it was from Romania and it was in a really shady little paper bag... so I don't know where you would find any

				Given that I was feeling too sick to go out neither of those suggestions were much help, though they may be useful in future - thank you.
I think my stomach is returning to health through a diet of crumpets with ginger jam on them (the only ginger non-alcoholic stuff I could find in the house) and grapes!

				Yay!
And yeah, saltines with ginger ale is the best thing to try to eat when you can't keep anything down. 
 
I've never made the ginger ale flat, though. The bubbles make me happy when I'm sick.
