a birdie died at work today.
it was sick so we'd moved it to an incubated tank. but then it just flipped over backwards in its food dish and some little girl went "mommie, what's that birdie doing?"

I still sorta sick but now it's my sinuses... yay for clogged sinuses. Anyone know of the best way to clear them without using medication since I've already used some in the last hour?

does nasal spray count as medication? i use that with cold pills all the time and i'm still alive and have most of my brain cells. get that Afrin stuff... it always works and it lasts for 12 hours. amazing stuff, that nasal spray.
then there's always tiger balm. you can get that at places like walmart now, most drug stores have it too.

yeah well it got worse from there... cindy (my "boss" of sorts) quickly grabbed the tank, told the little girl the bird was not feeling so good, took the tank in the back and almost started crying over the bird. she then picked it up and started petting its dead head and answered the ringing phone, petting the dead bird the whole time she talked.
it was weird too. she looked up at me and was like "he's not alive." she wouldn't say the word "dead"
