i don't have a good recent pic of my hair in its normal state of insanity but here's a closeup on it's usual texture. now just imagine that, (only now the red is washed out), huge and poofy and always in my face. so yeah, cousin it basically.

yeah. i've had many cheap straighteners in my life.
recently, on my birthday, i was given a rather expensive one. "ceramic tools" it's called. and it works wonders. i saw it and rolled my eyes, thinking it was a waste of money and nothing ever works on my hair. but gasp!! it worked. and i love it.
