The dress is awesome, but to make it more semi-ish, I'd suggest wearing something a little crazy with it, like a big necklace or some cool gloves or tights.

But yeah, it's a little dressy for a semi-formal... if you have a cardigan of some sort that you could throw on over it, that'd make it more appropriate.
