ok, so i've always been into grunge, it was just a few years before my time, or at least before i noticed it.
I'm thinking of buying Soundgarden's "Superunknown", any other albums you would suggest? I wouldn't mind gettiung some Alice in Chains but i wouldn't know where to start, "Dirt"?
i know there has to be some grunge fans here, and i know for a fact there's Alice fans
oh yeah if yor like me and looking for grunge try downloading "Fell On Black Days"...such a good song. Which reminds me, RHCP ripped the melody off it in one of their songs on Californication...can't remember which one though.
Oh yeah for one of teh darkest songs ever download "4th of july"

				Definitely get Superunknown

Dirt's good too.
If you don't have Ten by Pearl Jam go and get it now. And Every Nirvana album. And some early Smashing Pumpkins stuff - Gish and Siamese Dream.
I can't believe this stuff is over 10 years old now - very scary - and yet it still sounds amazing.

Alice in Chains unplugged is a good way to get into the band. Also download Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns - Mother Love Bone . A great song

I love that song - and they played it when I saw them live and I was soooo happy.
Other albums:
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies/Sap - 2 acoustic EPs
Hole - Live Through This
Blind Melon - Blind Melon
Temple of the Dog - Temple of the Dog
Singles OST (has Pumpkins and Peal Jam and Mother Love Bone and lots of other good stuff)

look for anything on the Sub Pop label.
oh course you have to get Nirvana's Never Mind. Nirvana Unplugged was good cause they stripped down their songs.
Get the soundtrack for the Movie Singles. Both SG and AIC played bands in the film and 3/5's of PJ played Matt Dillions back up band. The soundtrack is awesome though. Alot of great songs on it. My favorite AIC song is on it. WOULD
Dirt/Jar of flies-Alice in Chains-even Jerry Cantrel's solo cd is good.
BADMOTORFINGER-SoundGarden, although I love SuperUnknown
Screaming Trees,
Ten or VS by Pearl Jam
Core or Purple by STP(although I never really considered them grunge)
Siamese Dream-Smashing Pumpkins
Any Mudhoney or melvin CD's
Hole's Live Through this(which is one of my all time favorite CD's)
Temple Of The Dog
