Yes it is

I have no idea if you were talking to me or Jonathan, so I will answer for myself. Well, here's my stupid story. I started plucking around on my girlfriend's guitar in November, which is cool. I couldn't play shit then. When I finally came to terms with the fact that I need to play to get better, I played in her dorm room every weekday from January until today so far for something like two hours a day. I would just bring over my own tabs and I would keep working at it until I could play the songs.megxyz128 wrote:Wow, how long did it take you to get semi-good just learning by yourself? I'm talking, good enough to play for a band or just a song?
It took a while. Learning guitar is tough.megxyz128 wrote:Wow, how long did it take you to get semi-good just learning by yourself? I'm talking, good enough to play for a band or just a song?
and G7 and D7 could come in handy... the first chord progression I learned was G, Em, Am, D7.... I think it was Em first... I always get those two mixed up...Johnathan wrote:Heres some advice:
Learn these chords:--A,Am, D,Dmin, E,Emin, G and C
Lots of songs were written using these chords.
and
when tryling to learn a song. First of all, Do an intense search for accuarate Tabs(Tabcrawler.com or MxTabs.net are the best places) Then learn the chords and know them by heart. Once you do that, play along with the song, and slowly you will be able to play it.
Good Luck
